Some people suffer from excess sweating (hyperhydrosis) in and around the armpits (axillae). This can cause embarrassment socially and within the work environment in the form of wet patches on clothing and odour.

How does Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) work?

Botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerver transmission to muscles under the skin, relaxing them and smoothing the appearance of the face.

Where are the injections?

The injections are into both armpits (axillae).

Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.

When will I see the effects?

The effects take approximately 2-5 days to be noticed.

How long will the effects last for?

The effects usually last between 6-12 months although results vary by individual.
